Exchange 2003 IS shutting down hourly.  Event 1182 beta license on a retail version
I originally used a trial version to install MS Exchange 2003 on our exchange server but have installed the retail version over the top per KB article. The following is logged in the Exchange Server Setup Process.log on both the install and subsequent service packs: [08:17:13] This is a(n) Standard version of Microsoft Exchange Server -- ID:62232 --[08:17:13] This is not an evaluation copy of Microsoft Exchange Server; it will not expire -- ID:62234 -- However, the IS is shutting down hourly with the following event logged. Event ID: 1182 Thank you for your participation in the Microsoft Exchange Server beta program. Your license to use this beta version of the Microsoft Exchange Server software has expired. Contact Microsoft Corporation. I have reinstalled with the full retail version twice and no change. What next?

Hi Travis, Were you using Exchange 2003 Enterprise trial edition? If so then did youuninstall Enterprise edition and then installed Standard edition as pr below KB840015? How to recover databases that were created while using a trial version of Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition or Exchange 2000 Enterprise Server

We were using the Standard evaluation version but that article has some useful information that will help if I have to rebuild. Thank you.
